Wool Painting Pictures – Marina Askerova story.
I am always looking for new talent and new exciting categories of arts and crafts. One of my favorites is Felt which has different styles like nuno, needle, and wet Felting. Wool is the medium used for Felt and many artists throw their own flare by having their own unique technique or using materials others do not. One such style of Felt in particular is called Wool Painting Pictures , which is a more difficult Felt technique than most.
Recently I found a book called “Painting with Wool” which I found in my endeavours for Felt information. Personally I enjoy this style the most because the final product is a great conversational piece or a present to give. After trying my own hand at Wool Painting I decided I needed a little more help learning this style, so I found online classes with Marina Askerov.

And now without further ado let me share with you Marinas work and a little information about the artist. Marina Askerov is a professional artist. She graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. Currently, Marina is working as a teacher of drawing and sculpting in art school. Marina always liked arts and crafts, but recently began to do wool paintings. This is a relatively new kind of art which has become very popular due to its originality and it attracts new-comers because of its ease. Primarily Marina makes her wool paintings from a photo, and her favorites are the floral arrangement.
Does a painting with wool resemble an oil painting technique?
Below you will find pictures of Oil-Paintings and Wool Paintings with very few differences. Both techniques also capture not only a moment in time or a beautiful scene, but also the artist and their soul. It truly should be a technique all its own but due to using wool as a medium falls under Felt.

The self-taught path is always long …
But as a result of long-term self-practice, and most likely a lot of patience, Marina developed many styles on her own, and she shares her secrets through her online classes. Aside from Wool Painting Pictures , Marina is also well known for her Wet Felting works. Wet Felting is a style used to create tapestries, clothes, or scarf-like accessories. She truly is a master of both using wool as a medium and inserting her own personal style into her works.
Many of Marina’s paintings are in private collections in France, Italy, Germany, USA, Canada, China, Slovenia, Great Britain, Finland, Ukraine, Baltic States, and, of course, Russia.
